I got the teaching bug from being an adjunct professor for three years, but decided against grading homework. ever. again.

Since then I've been giving technical talks and trainings, mostly focusing on front end development when I get the opportunity.

This presentation is a labor of love. It's intended to be a full day training, but I've given it in part or whole at events or for my coworkers.

The focus is teaching the "why" behind CSS: document flow, box model, animation, and the behavior behind different layout systems; in hopes others will understand and enjoy CSS as much as I do.

Drupal 8 Theming - A thorough crash course

A sea change occured in theming between Drupal 7 & 8. Trying to learn it for myself I noticed a strong lack of good summaries Drupal 8 theming; so I wrote this talk and started pestering the core contributors who built the new theming system for feedback.
